Battle of Sahiba(1542)

Rao Maldeo of Marwar invaded Bikaner with a reported 20,000 men; Rao Jait Singh was killed in the battle and the state was annexed to Jodhpur until 1544.

      Fourth Rao of Bikaner, 1526–1542. Defeated Kamran Mirza at Rati Ghati in 1534 and recovered his capital; killed fighting Rao Maldeo of Marwar at Sahiba, after which Bikaner was briefly annexed by Jodhpur.
